Which shoes should be used for running?

Author: admin  //  Category: k swiss running shoes

I have a pair of old K-swiss’s, but Im not sure if i should buy a new pair of running shoes. I use Vans at the moment.

YES!!!!

The shoes you are running in now could lead to serious or nagging injuries because they are not made for athletics, especially running. Vans are stylish and good for things like skateboarding but not for serious exercise — running in them could lead to shin splints, foot problems, and put a lot of stress on the rest of your joints.

You need to purchase shoes made especially for running. Avoid Nike Shox (they put your foot at an unnatural angle and put a lot of pressure on the ball of your foot) or any similar shoe with a raised heel. Asics are the best running shoes (particularly the Gel Fusion and Gel Nimbus) but they’re pricey. If you are just a recreational runner (2-3 miles per outing, 2-3 times per week) you should be able to get by with any solid running shoe – just go to any sports shoe store and they should be able to help you out.

Shoe stores will be able to look at your foot and help determine if you have low/normal/high archs and if you over or underpronate (turn your foot) — the exact shoe you need is based on these factors.

Stilettos & wedged high heels are the best.

Running trainers with the breathable material on are the best on roads concrete surfaces. Spikes( Really light thin shoes with metal screw spikes) for cross country or on an athletics track shorter ones for track longer for cross country! Priced at about £35 but varies depending on quality ect

I went and got a decent pair of running shoes (Saucony Trigon 5) because my old basketball shoes and casual shoes were making my knees hurt every time I would run. I was very happy to find out that a good pair of running shoes can make that much of a difference. The reason I got those shoes is because they matched my foot profile (neutral), they felt comfortable and light when I ran with them at the store, and they didn’t look ugly and were in my price range.

I suggest stopping in and talk to a specialty running shoe store so they can figure out what kind of feet you have and how you run. This will help them match a shoe to your running style so you will have the best running shoes that you can. This will give you the best chance of being the most efficient at running that you can be, without having to worry about your feet hurting, or developing other runners ailments like shin splints.

Best of luck finding some real running shoes,

    mizuno wave rider 11

these are very light and they are good for sprinting and longer running. I would recommend mizuno #1 then asics #2 for lightweight, durability, and cushioning

if you are looking for ultralight shoes, then try out the Adidas ATS shoe, it is extremely light and flexible. I have a pair of these and they are so lightweight AND comfortable, the only problem i foresee with these for you is that you will wear them out rather fast.
